Sigmund Brouwer
Sigmund Brouwer came to our school today and what a fantastic time all the "Story Ninja's" had! He used music and story to give us fun and practical advice on how to make sure reading and writing become the foundation to future success. He talked to us about the importance of stories and how we all can be authors of our own stories. He taught us how each story has a "hook", a problem that needs to be solved and how it makes a mundane story come to life! Sigmund then met with the grade 5-9 classes and then the Grade 1-4 classes in which he had an engaging question and answer time for the students, complete with autographs. Sigmund kindly left books behind to be drawn for and awarded to 10 lucky students! Staff and students alike enjoyed the afternoon thoroughly with Mr. Brouwer!
