March is Nutrition Month!
Our Nutrition Program hosted a Long Table Lunch in our school hallway on Friday, March 22nd. We invited family members to come join their children to celebrate healthy eating in a shared meal. The students created colorful tablecloths covered in nutritional information for each table, as well as student leaders created lovely centerpieces. We served chicken kabobs with a variety of dipping sauces, brown rice, cold quinoa salad and fruit kabobs for dessert. Each family was invited to take a container of food home after the meal. It was a great way to celebrate healthy eating!!
