Leprechaun on the Loose

By Mrs. Smith
18 Mar

The elusive elf, Paddy O’Mischievious visited the Grade 1/2 classroom again this year. He left behind evidence of his mischief with little green footprints and messes in the classroom. He also wrote us messages in Gaelic! A few students built traps at home to try and catch the leprechaun, but again he foiled our efforts. He always seems to come up with some way around our tricky traps.
But our dear Paddy O’ does do some nice things. On St. Patrick’s Day he left a trail of clues that led to a sweet of “Magic Leprechaun “stew. We had to say “Happy St. Patrick’s Day“ in Gaelic and stir our pudding three times. It magically turned green!
We hope we will have better luck next year in trying to trap Paddy O’. We think that his gold could pay for a really amazing field trip!
