My Inukshuk

20 Jan

The Inukshuk is an important symbol in the Inuit culture. Inukshuk means “likeness of a person” in Inuktitut. It is made by the Inuit to show direction to travelers, warn of danger, to mark a place of respect, or to aid in the caribou hunt. The Grade 1/2 class had a lot of fun making their own Inukshuks.
